I work in the restaurant biz and can definitely say we are cleaner at the restaurant than I am at home!
That said, I do not concern myself with being super sanitary/safe at home. The way I see things are like this: we lived many thousands of years with out anti-bacterials, health departments, refrigerators, etc. We are built tougher than we think. If I get sick, so be it. I will hit the doc. I have not had any illness related to sanitation/food in MANY years. People freak too much about these things. Especially meat. I like my beef raw. You can eat chicken and pork raw too. I know people who have! As long as it is fresh and clean, of course.
And yes, I am the dude that applies the "however many seconds it was on the ground is short enough" rule. I will eat things covered in dirt. Gotta hit my daily cal reqs! lol
