Yeah man, I hear you. I am very well versed in the history of tech's effects on labor. Like you, I've studied this intensely. This is the argument of the eternal optimists. (I used to be an optimist like you). That somehow, someway jobs just appear once jobs are taken away. But this time it is indeed different. Here is why.

First we all farmed, working with our backs. Depending on where you lived perhaps 80% or more of people worked in food production. Then equipment took those jobs down to the low single digits percentage.

So we moved to factories and worked with our hands. Then automation took many of those jobs.

So we moved into service and tech. Now automation is about to take those jobs.

So tech took over our back work. Then tech took over the work we did with our hands. Now tech is coming for the work humans do with their minds. Tell me, what is left? Once the human mind and body are no longer useful, what is left?
I suppose it is possible that this will be the one time that the worst case scenario comes to fruition. I suspect, however, that AI will transform the workplace in such a way that many jobs that we'll be doing 15 years from now don't presently exist.

What is interesting about this latest tech disruption is that it's likely to affect the white collar workforce sooner/faster than the blue collar workforce. That is, the guy in the cubicle moving paper is at risk sooner than the plumber, roofer or welder.

As my uncle always said, "wish in one hand and shit in the other, see which side fills up first."

AI is going to annihilate jobs. In ten years the unemployment rate will be over 80%-90%
UBI incoming.

Trump is threatening Canada and the UK with tearing up their trade deals. if they recognize Palestine as a state.

Because this makes so much sense. American workers all unanimously agree that the greatest problem they face with regards to feeding their children is Palestine.

Israel first! Americans second!

The Jewish Supremacist lobby is in control of Trump.

I've heard a lot of rhetoric about Trump being a dictator, a fascist, a king, a tyrant, and a threat to democracy. I found this article interesting in that I think it flies right in the face of such silly claims.
I do, however, think he's abrasive and doesn't even know how to win graciously. I wish it wasn't so much fun watching the wokesters go bonkers... but it is kinda fun.

“The American empire is over” (according to Marxian economist, Richard D. Wolff).
Interesting regardless.
The Epstein hoopla can help serve to distract.

That was good, thanks!

I'm interested in what he thinks of China's demographic problem, the health of their banking sector, and present youth employment numbers. They have their own challenges, for sure. What he says about the G7 is right on the money. How strong is BRICS really? Good question. Brazil is in bad shape, so is Russia. India is ascendant, and not really sure about South Africa. Seems like it's heading to the garbage heap even faster than the UK.

With US energy being revitalized, leading the AI revolution, and not going full retard on EVs and renewable energy (meaning they have their place, but will not supplant other competing technologies), the US is course correcting. I wonder what he thinks about that. In any event, that was good discussion.

Everything is unusual about this Maxwell move. She has been moved to a low security Club-Fed prison.

Normally prisoner moves are done by the Marshalls, this time a special team from Trump's justice department moved her.

It is also highly unusual for ANY prisoners serving sentences for sexual crimes to get this treatment. Especially when children were raped. And Maxwell helped children be raped. Of all the federal ClubFed prisons this one has almost no security. It is so lax reporters can walk right up to the fences and yell out to inmates.

Trump is considering pardoning a person who helped monsters rape children.

We know Trump only cares about Trump. If Maxwell has info on any other people but NOT Trump, Trump would release the list. Trump is on the list. And Maxwell knows what horrific things Trump has done.

Soon Maxwell will be dead or free.
