Atlas stones chalk or tacky?

I see in the british and worlds strongest men they lift the stones with chalk only. arent they aloud to use the tacky in competition?

They would never use chalk over tacky. Chalk is pointless. Where have you seem chalk at

I've never heard of anyone using chalk over tacky for atlas stones. Sometimes I wont tacky up until I get over a 285 stone but thats just to make the smaller stones a little harder. Its a night and day difference using tacky vs nothing/chalk

Agreed alpha mine is 100 pounds under yours without tacky. It's good to TRAIN tacky less but you wouldn't catch me in a comp without tacky

The SM I know all use tacky.

same here...i even pile some on the back side of my hand in case i need more during the lift itself, that way I can just grab some quickly without missing a beat. I had an outdoor show where the stones were dusty as heck, thank god for the extra or the 405 would have never made it up :)
