Yeah im mostly just blown away that I could survive getting my skull crushed. My left orbital fully detached, pressed into my head, and pushed my left eye out.

But I still have 20/20 vision. And honestly I like having a gigantic scar on my face. It's like a battle wound. I was a little sad when it became a less noticeable. In the beginning it was like the laces on a football. Now it's just a thin line.

I gain weight like no one I know at 3,000 Kcals per day. My coach, who works out a lot more than I do and is 20 years younger, has to eat 6,000 to 7,000 kcals per day just to keep his bodyweight where it is (about 210 lbs). So everyone is different.

I would increase your macros until you are gaining steadily. If you are gaining more than 1 lb per week, you are going to get too fat. Even 1 lb per week is a lot and will get you fat over a long period of time. My coach has convinced me to diet down to sub 10% and to gain no more than 1 lb per month going forward. He says at my age it is so hard for me to lose fat, I should take it off and keep it off, and do very slow bulking. After struggling for over a year to take off the last 20 lbs to get a 6 pack, I have come to see the wisdom of his advice.

i'm glad you said this because i see that i am DEFINITELY not getting the same out of 5000 calories as some above are suggesting.

i dropped down to 3500 and am losing weight, like bizarrely quickly.

If I want to continue gaining weight past about the 225-230 mark I have to continuously eat 6-8k cals per day, usually take in around 450g protein with that. It's nearly impossible for me to hold over 240.

anyone here claiming to eat over 6k calories mind sharing there exact diet here? I'm skeptical unless you are above 250lbs and or under 250 pounds and do manual labor for a living.

that's a lot of food. esp if it's not all candy bars and ice cream and protien shakes.

at 200lbs I can easily gain at 3500. Maintain at 3000 and at the end of my cutting phase be around 1800-2000 cals.

You and I have have the same weight and diet. Sitting at 211lbs at 8% and was around 2100 calories in the final stage of the diet. At 2600 I can maintain that and at 2800 it starts to creep. In the winter months and I am a higher bf, I sit at around 3000-3200 and 3500-3600 will make me gain quickly.

I track everything and I don't let anything short of lettuce go undocumented. Save for my refeeds every 6-8 weeks, I can tell you exactly how many calories and macros I have eaten every day for the last year and a half. if it's unplanned in my diet, I make myself sacrifice those macros from elsewhere that day, even if that means going hungry. If you're not gaining/losing, you're not being honest enough with yourself and your recording

Haha damn you ate not one thing I would ever want to eat. Oh other than the eggs and ice cream.

When I eat 5000 it's more like

4 cups of rice
2 protein shakes (6 scoops total)
1 cup liquid egg whites
Half gallon of milk
One pound ground beef
One burrito from Chipotle

I think that's it. The burrito, beef, milk and rice are all about 1000 calories and then the protein shake and eggs whites are also about 1000 calories when added together.
