First of all, you're a tall mother...... haha. You ever deadlift? I bet you could get some crazy leverage. Looks good so far. Keep at it.

Haha too tall, it's more of a nuisance than anything. Actually tomorrow afternoon I'm deadlifting for the first time in a long time.

How did the deadlifts go?

Ended up skipping the gym yesterday and today. Woke up with horrible back spasms, hip pain and numbness up and down my leg. Two days and the symptoms haven't gone away, thinking of calling my doctor tomorrow to get it checked out if the symptoms don't subside. Spasms and pain are one thing but the numbness makes me nervous. Almost as if my left leg is dead

How are you feeling, big man?

Unfortunately not too much better. Went to the doctor last Tuesday, gave me some 800mg ibuprofen and prednisone. A week later, symptoms are worse, strength is almost completely gone and pain is moving up to the shoulders from the low back. Going back to doctor tomorrow to hopefully get an MRI and a referral to see a specialist. Haven't been back to the gym in 10 days now and it's killing me.

Saw an orthopedic today for my back. Got the ok that structurally everything looks good, which is a relief. Was told it was a pretty severe strain of my low back. Doctor recommended I go back to the gym and work on strengthening the area and my core as a whole right away and to not go crazy. If the doc says to go to the gym, I'm going to the gym. First day back tomorrow in two weeks, I'm pumped.
