After watching "reagan" (great account but bad acting) I want to read one of his Bio's... researching which one would be best. self help/improvement books are great (Peterson) but reading Bio's and learning from them is different.

I have quite a few books around the house but over the years I have quite reading books and only read what I can find on the internet. I spend maybe 5 hours or more each day reading research papers from different areas of interest. For most this is boring but for me, I never get tired of learning.

it is a tough read. I have taken to reading along with the audio book and its a much better experience.

I wish I had time to read. I remember I used to enjoy it. These days it's only specification manuals, architectural and engineered drawings.

LK recommended them. Tales of gals getting kidnapped and learning to love a 9 foot tall hairy beast that smells like a skunk. Kinda sounds like some of you guys?

For real though if you are into fantasy and not the sexy kind but swords and magic kind check out "the first law" trilogy. REALLY GOOD!

Second i would say "The iron druid chronicles" More of a urban fantasy in a present day but well written and smart with funny as well as dark parts.

This is going to bore most people to tears.. The last e-books I listened to.

Something Deeply Hidden by Sean M. Carroll. The best part is Sean talking about the emergence of space-time from underlying processes.

The Moral Landscape by Sam Harris. Listened to this twice. Spoiler alert, Sam is wrong about morality being able to be build objectively. Values create morality, this is always subjective between people, cultures, religions and eras.

The Prince by Machiavelli. Hardly needs any introduction. I read this when I was about 21 or 22. Came back to it fairly recently.

Because I find it absolutely necessary to ensure my clients receive the best service possible, I spend pretty much all my free time just researching pubs. With all peptides and small molecules out there, the research is never ending.

Wars, famous battles, etc.
In this case there are so many factors that contributed to the initial success and ultimate failure of the German war machine on the Russian Front in WW2: thinking you know better than your field marshals and generals, Russian winters, supply lines that couldn't keep up with the rapid advance, and more.
