Anyone do this? Thoughts?

I started doing this about 6 months ago and fukking love it! Im currently pushing 160lbs for about 15 reps, im very cautious with the weight as I feel my thumb grip needs to improve so I wont be so skeered to eventually up the weight, aiming for 225 eventually. Really love the way it nails my triceps.

To anyone who has never done it, start light weight and keep your thumbs locked around that fukking bar!!

I tried this a couple of times after reading a thread on here about it. Man, I'll back you up it's a pretty good exercise. I just found that it was hard to get the right form at first to activate the chest and found at the start I was using heaps of front delt but once I fixed that up it was really good

I use this during triceps. As I finish chest I usually do this as I'm going into doing triceps and sometimes dips.

I use to love doing heavy reverse bench and dips. But my wrist wont allow it any more. Got it to 275x6 & 315x1 on Reverse and BW+100x7 on dips. So atleast I will always have that lol.

315 on reverse is no joke! Good work!

If I'm not mistaken Anthony Clark was a WR bencher and he used to hit sick numbers from reverse bench. I used to perform them way back but don't remember why I removed them.

when i did them last summer i stayed light as i did not trust my grip 100%. i keep visualizing the bar just smashing in my face! but i got some good pumps out of just one plate on each side pressing to failure

I can do 225 x 10-12 easy its just unracking the bar that gets tricky. Once its over my chest im good. Feels better for my wrists than Close Grip Benching.

Yea unracking is my trouble spot, after that im good. 225 for reps? Nice.

I bring the bar down below the sternum with a semi close grip. If you get a lift off you'd be surprised how strong you are at the movement. I do have great grip but smaller hands, the mind-**** is prolly holding you back. I started in the rack with pins set just below depth of inflated chest. Thus way if you exhale, the bar is off your chest.
