Narcotics task force busts 'major supplier' of steroids in Tuscaloosa County

Agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force brought a three-year investigation to a close Sunday morning when they raided a house in Coker and busted a man's steroid-manufacturing laboratory, a Tuscaloosa Police Department representative said Tuesday.

Sgt. Brent Blankley said the agents executed a search warrant in the 11000 Block of Lake Robinwood Road at 7 o'clock Sunday morning and found large amounts of liquid and powdered steroids, powdered Viagra, marijuana, lab equipment, drug paraphernalia and two revolvers in the residence of 47-year-old Ronald Eugene Wedgeworth Jr., who Blankley called a major supplier of steroids in the Tuscaloosa County area.

Blankley said the steroids and other drugs had a street value of approximately $200,000. The drugs, weapons and equipment were seized as evidence by the WANTF.

Agents took Wedgeworth into custody and ultimately charged him with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail and remains there pending a $325,000 bond.

LOL, Exactly what I was thiniking, them vials sure look cool all lined up like that, somebody has waay too much time on their hands.
A 3 year investigation means more to follow or maybe some have already been taken down. What a waste of taxpayer dollars.
Wonder how many millions went into a bust netting a few thousand bucks and 2 .38 cal pistols? Explains them constantly over valuing the busts

I don't even see that much their unless those tubs in the back are full of liquid aas ready to be filtered. If you take away all the equipment and supplies it looks like a pro bber's cycle for a year .
