I can't understand how strongmen and powerlifters carry so much muscle mass. They don't isolate and they rarely do more than 5 reps. This definitely breaks the 6-12 rep range myth (?) for mass.

They also do a lot of assistance work in the 8-20 rep range on top of their main lifts

Heavy compound lifts create mass. Once I switched to powerlifting and stopped working so much isolation I blew up. I would say though that while we are capable of putting on plenty of mass, its generally not as aesthetically pleasing as a bodybuilder might look. Dan Green is a major exception though. He has tremendous genetics.

I knew what he was talking about I was just kidding, I didn't know people still wore straps, lol.

Don't lie. We all know you didn't know what he was talking about. It's ok.... we don't judge, lol.
