Despite video to the contrary, 390 felt really heavy. I'm being forced to use these octagonal metal plates and the pulls feel different. I can't pull the usual slack out of the bar, and it feels like they pull me down when I start the pull.

Idk, maybe it's in my head.

Octogon plates suck balls. Do they have those goofy 25 lbs bumpers that look like they should be 60 lbs each? I put one of those on the inside to offset the polygon bullshit. Having it roll you outta position is the worst.

2x that for the hex plates! God bless you and your damn balance on the split squats, you flew thru those with ease!

I'm sooooo thankful I don't have to use those octagonal plates. Only time I used them was when I trained at LA Fagness for a very brief time. That definitely brings back memories... and not exactly good ones. The only good thing about that place was the scenery.

^ .... Thanks guys, yeah those plates blow. The loud noise they make is kinda cool though.

But I think my training team is going to pitch in and invest in some 45# bumper plates. My next DL day next week is 15x2, and hopefully it'll be the last time I use them. Might just treat it as 30 singles, heh.

<><>.

On my fluff N' buff day, I'm hitting a couple-few sets of volume bench with the slingshot, then hitting lats, triceps, hammies, biceps, and front delts. I'll rotate my exercises

BRO SPLIT/ARNOLD DAY (RPE 7-8).

The weight felt light, but coming out of the hole felt harder than it should. When I rolled my hammies, they were tight just under the knee cap. Bingo. Might have cost me a Bully Yoga 5x5 PR day, but oh well.

That squat was perfect. You can really see the upper back development at work keeping your chest up. Very well executed.
