Question on phone apps

Why do these apps want access to my camera, identity, contacts, microphone etc... they want access to shit that has nothing to do with the app i am trying to instal. What is the reason for this?

Exactly wtf! I was gonna download Flipgram but noticed all the shit they wanted access to... i said fukk you and your app, no thanks.
