protein engineering, lots of new products out claiming the protein has already been broken down before digestion...what do you think?

protein already broken down, you mean like BCAAs and EAA's? Proteins are amino acids linked by peptide bonds that form specific sequences therefore already broken down proteins are in fact amino acids.
