Picked up a plastic fantastic for a great price. 1986 C-4 Coupe. First Vette and lovin it already.
Put in poly bushings, bilstein shocks, new plugs and wires, fuel pump. Next is roller rockers and some rear end work for more torque.

Cool! I stay as far away as possible from mid 80s vettes, as well as most other vehicles in those years. Just do yourself a favor and drop an LSX in it and be done with it.

I know, I am being a Debbie Downer

Makes me want to go watch big mustache porn in POB's purple prom dress with the big puffy sleeves. Like the look of that car.

Honestly I love the look of those older Vettes. I had a 1980 L82 and a 1990 Roadster back in the day.

A few weeks ago I was going through the auto-trader looking at them as maybe a weekend car.

Then I compared them to what I drive now (2015 Charger SRT 392) and realized my car is more powerful, faster, handles better, and has all the creature comforts those 80's Corvettes don't have. The interiors look so dated and cheap to me.

So I either have to get a much newer Vette or nothing.

You can build a nice 350 for next to nothing. But an LSX swap would be nice!

I always like the looks of them. The 80s era gets a lot of flack but I thought there were some good looking cars.
