I have gotten a shot on the wrist, hurts like a mofo for about 2 days then loosened up for me, after that it was pain free for a while.

That is a Bitch to take in the wrist. Problem with that shot is it onlys masks the pain. You still need to take it easy, otherwise you will create more damage to that area causing you to be out more. the shot can hurt more up to a week, especially if he grazed a bone ,tendon or nerve.

You can work out just remember to take it slow. I will reduce the swelling in the tendons and mask the pain. If you normaly do something with 40lb DBs then reduce it to 15-20 pounds. just take it slow and easy...

Cortisone shots don't work for everyone so if your pain persist dont be surprised. I have had a bunch in my neck and shoulder and none of them worked. Do what the guys said before me and rest and lower your weights. I would be taking 600-800 mg of ibuprofen 3x a day also. I found moist heat works for me too. I either got a towel and heated it up or you can just put your hand in a bucket.
