Malte Spitz - Who is he and what did he show us?
Malte Spitz is a German politician involved with the Greens political party and you might ask what that has to do with you outside of Germany? In short, a lot. Back in 2009 Spitz submitted a variety of legal requests to his mobile phone provider T-mobile (yes, also a carrier in the US). If you don't realise the data which is leaked on a mobile phone by now - your about to see a small portion of it and hopefully understand why it is important.
Now it is important to understand that Malte Spitz is considered a 'regular citizen' in the eyes of the law and is not under surveillance or any type of abnormal monitoring, the data you see here is what is gathered on every individual and is typical of what you can expect has been and is being logged of you. This is data that is stored and not deleted.
What am I saying? Your phone is logging every movement you make - even if your not under surveillance.

Here is where the map starts, there are the dates below and you can click on that at any point and it will show you exactly where his phone was at that time and what tower it was bouncing off. You can also slide the slider bar across to the right, it will play along the timeline and show you his exact movements and the exact times & dates. It plays like a movie watching exactly where he went.
You can see his movements, see when he is at home, see what meetings he attends... look at the map and watch just how much data your 'untracked' phone carrier captures...
