LightweightCharles Oliveiravs.Beneil Dariush
WelterweightMike Malottvs.Adam Fugitt
FeatherweightDan Igevs.Nate Landwehr
MiddleweightMarc-André Barriaultvs.Eryk Anders
This is a weak PPV. They pump up Aldana but Nunes is a beast. I hope it is a good fight but I think Nunes will go steam roller.

Oliveira vs Dariush is pretty good. I think it will end up with Oliveira fighting off his back most of the fight. But might surprise us.

Malott vs Fugitt Do not know much about them but Malott is a sub guy and Fugitt is an elbow assassin. Could be great.

Here is my pick for FOTN. Ige vs Landwehr. Two tought guys who will fight like dogs!

MAB vs Anders. this one is a stand up match for sure. Two Ko artists. MAB will take this one. Too slick for Anders, but Anders has that one touch kill power.

I agree man! Not sure why they are hyping Aldana here for this fight, she doesn't have the best record and always loses to the top tier. Not saying she sucks, but not exactly worth the hype, imo. I think Amanda TKO's her as well, but maybe we'll get surprised, lol.

Agree as well on the Ige/Landwehr fight!!! Landwehr is super entertaining and has great post-fight speeches. It's a step up for him, so we'll see if he advances or just becomes a gatekeeper.

IMO, the Oliveira/Dariush fight is the main event. Not sure how it will end, but should tell us where both guys are at: 1) Oliveira seems to have mental issues from his loss to Khamzat. He was offered a rematch but turned it down because of his mental state afterward....or so I read. 2) Dariush has been begging for a title fight forever now, maybe he'll finally get one if....IF...he wins this fight. At some point age will set in for him though, maybe, lol. He did well against Gamrot in his last fight. If he can duplicate that and not get clocked in the stand-up, then he may have a good shot at winning. Charles has awkward and unpredictable stand-up, and he hits hard. He's not the best on the feet either though, he has got clocked in most of his big wins only to persevere and hit them back hard as well. He was able to fall to his back after getting clocked, but it didn't work against Khamzat, and it may be the same with Dariush as well.

I'm not really interested in the other fights.

I think Wonderboy was gonna fight on this card, but they moved it to another event....sux.

Actually, Nassourdine Imavov vs Chris Curtis is the main fight on the undercard. That should be pretty good. Dana thinks it will be FOTN. He mentioned that the Malott/Fugitt fight will be a good fight to watch as well.

I rarely watch the chick fights. They don't get my adrenaline going whatsoever. I figure it's either my gender transitioning medications aren't working correctly, or I'm simply a male chauvinist pig.

Either? I am thinking BOTH!

Watch Angela Hill vs Jessica Andrade or Rose Namajunas vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk 2. These are BANGERS! You can be a male chauvinist pig and president of the patriarchy but you will still give these a thumbs up.

There have been 4.76 billion MMA fights and out of all those there have been 2 good chick fights. I guess I'll start watching them now...LOL...

  • Fight of the Night: Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Eryk Anders
  • Performance of the Night: Charles Oliveira, Mike Malott, and Stephen Erceg
Great night!

Nunes retired after destroying Aldana who was tentative the whole fight. Is this a retirement to push for more $ or is she done?

Oliveira showed why he is the #1 contender. Dariush has to go back to the drawing board and work his way back to contention.

Malott is a problem, this dude has laser fast strikes and great ground work. Granted he was fighting another journeyman, cannot wait to see how he does on the next level with a name.

Ige vs Landwehr was a great fight. Ige just seemed to be a half step ahead. Respect to Nate the Train, he came there to fight and he did even winning one round. Ige was the smaller man but damn he hits hard.

MAB vs Anders. This was definitely the best fight. Rockem sockem robots. Anders never gave up even though he was loosing. Respect to both guys.

Man, i'll probably sound like a conspiracy theorist of sort, but I feel like the Nunes retirement was super fake or planned between she and the UFC. Before the fight she was talking the whole camp about how much she was rejuvenated and couldn't wait to take on many fights ahead in the future, then out of nowhere, RETIREMENT!?!? WTF?

I am at odds with this. If true, then fine. However.....I want to bring up a few things on my mind...

Did she and the UFC plan this without telling anybody else? It seems weird that all of a sudden Pena, who is and was the fight we all wanted to see happen, well she and possibly a 3rd fight with Shevchenko, and now it's not going to happen? Like what!? So Pena drops out due to a rib injury, they throw in boring Aldana, a month or so out, Both Pena and Shevchenko both attended this fight in Canada....like wth?

Everybody knows Pena, and possibly Shevchenko, were gonna be possible bouts in the near future, and she all of a sudden wants to skip out on it now? Is she scared? I would put her as the GOAT right now, but those 2 added fights would absolutely seal the deal for sure, if she won. Did she get cold feet? Is she using it for leverage for a big $$$$ fight? Did she and the UFC do this now so she could go out this way and both sides could brag about having the best female fighter of all-time?

Seems like a load of crap to me, or she is scared!

She may be the GOAT right now, but I would not shoe her in as being the GOAT forever. Beating a boring fighter like Aldana does not do that. She beat Valentina twice, the 2nd fight a lot of people thought Valentina won. Valentina may or may not be what she was at this point, so she is a question mark I guess. But come on, no 3rd rubber-match fight with Pena to use as your retirement going out fight? Come on man!

Maybe the UFC didn't want her to beat anybody else so they could hype up Pena for their future, all the while also protecting Nunes in case she lost?

Anyway...seems a little premature for me, but i'm not her.

lol:D

She talked about retirement after she beat Pena in their second fight. I like your hypothesis, who knows. Hurts my head to even think about.
