That trip sounds like so much fun! Have not done the Buffalo Trace tour yet. That's on my list for sure. The entire Buffalo Trace line-up is good, IMO.

I enjoy a fine bourbon as much as the next person, but I've found several of my low price point daily bourbons my favorite. For example, Buffalo Trace is great, and I keep Wild Turkey 101 in my freezer, and drink it neat. Hard to believe a bourbon that cheap tastes so good.

Oh man Wild Turkey .... *shivers .... that was my old mans drink. Trick in our house used to be ya crept up and peeked in the kitchen window , if the bottle was already on the table ya just went to the park or to a friends house and Mom would come find us after he passed out ... good times.

There's Wild Turkey, and Wild Turkey 101. The 101 is distinctly different, and much better, IMO.

Sorry to hear that you grew up with alcohol being abused. My father was quick to anger without alcohol, and I can only imagine our fate if he'd been a problem drinker.
