Personally, I think it's a shame we had to do this. But it is what it is. We do have a core mission here, and politics is not it. I think it's appropriate to tailor the sub-forums primarily around the core mission and attempt to avoid divisive wedge issues if possible.

15 years of bartending and bouncing have taught me how to not get involved in many conversations as you can see how they will turn out from the start.

The point is this is ADMINS house and we are all guests. The off topic is a great area for just bs things. I have joined in the political threads as I enjoy reading them. I like reading people's thoughts makes you more open minded , but it has got out of hand with some people so it does need its own board not the BB board. It has put some tension between members and especially VIP and it doesn't look good to people swinging through to have VIPs treating each other the way we have sets a bad example. Hope this cleared it up for you.

I have been guilty of getting hot headed at times too and for this I apologize to anyone whom I may have offended.

Lets be the VIP's that we are known to be and not attack one another or make racist comments. We're better then that and besides our passion is weight training / diet / supplementation and schooling the younger folks in the community to train and supplement responsibly.

actually, i think i know what happened. i unchecked the box that said "receive email from administrators" so even if you sent it i won't get it.

I think it's mostly the people who get into a heated political discussion and can't control their emotions, and then it shows their true character.

Interestingly enough without any effort put toward it the politics forum had taken off on its own. I may have to consider putting together a staff if it keeps growing.
