Alright so I'm a bit pissed off at myself. I had a whole bunch of appointments and commitments so I was forced to miss the gym yesterday, normally it's not a big deal and I just make up for it on Saturday mornings however this weekend I'm going on a trip away to the snow again meaning no gym. Looks like legs get missed this week however I have 2 hours worth of fast walking to do today and a whole weekend of snowboarding so it's not like they won't get some form of exercise.

I'm really trying to build some thickness through my torso, a thick chest/back is what I'm looking for. I find it the hardest thing for me to build (luckily enough I have good calves with little effort which lots are stuck on). So my split looks like this:
Wk 1
Day 1: Chest + tri
Day 2: Back + bi
Day 3: Shoulders (heavy compounds) + abs (although abs never happens)
Day 4: Legs
Day 5: Chest
Day 6 & 7 - rest
Wk 2
Day 1: Back + bi
Day 2: chest + tri
Day 3: shoulders (hypertrophy)
Day 4: Legs
Day 5: back
Day 6 & 7 - rest

So basically I do whatever I did on Monday again on Friday and alternate between doubling up on chest or back. It's actually worked quiet well for me, I find solid growth and like the shape it gives me. Plus I like this type of routine. I am going to try doing body parts twice a week sometime in the future, but for now I'll follow what I've done because I know it works for me.

One hell of a nice gym. I went to a couple rugby practices, it really isn't that big in the states but there are some leagues. It was brutal, the cardio fukin killed me.

Yeah man rugby certainly isn't the easiest sport, but it's real fun.

This log isn't off to a flying start, missed days last week and this week isn't looking too good. Had a massive fall on a snowboard over the weekend, was flying and went ass over tit and flipped a couple times, it would have looked spectacular and it bloody hurt. Ended up with a real bad lump on my lower back, it's about 5 inches wide, 2 inches tall and sticks out about 2cm. Very tender, hurts to touch, feels soft like fluid under the skin. Also have bruised my chest and hurts to take a full breath, as I flipped landed on my arm and also got my right wrist in a bandage, just a sprain. Not ideal for training, especially as I've tried to knuckle down and ignore all set backs however I'm going to soldier on. Without doubt need to miss today unless the pain subsides by this afternoon but I will definitely be in there tomorrow. Don't think I can lay flat on a bench with my back but will do some kind of machine work just to maintain, whatever I can do this week I'll hit as hard as I can and still try and get any benefit I can.

Damn man you got a beating! Every so often you need to suck up the pain and take a good couple deep breaths in and out so you don't develop pneumonia.

Damn, that was a hard fall.

I have one of the original Burton snowboards (bought it at a ski swap 20 years ago) and one time I got going crossgrained and lost my balance, and went down and hit my head on the hard icy snow on the hill below my house at the time. I actually saw stars like in the cartoons and had a bad headache for a couple of days. That was the last time I snowboarded.

I hope you feel better soon bro. And watch out for getting cross grained on the hill (as I call it).

Thanks Bull, I'm still trying to get all my stuff in check but once I do I'll be checking out everyone else's logs too.

I just thought since a couple people here might know who Andreia Brazier is I'd chuck up a picture of her... Here she is in my gym with the owner, she's training here while she's staying in this city

And if you don't recognise her from that, this is the bloody photo I can never get out of my mind when her name pops to mind...

I figured while I'm out of training for a couple of days I might as well chuck up a few pictures of others that have been at the gym but only people that advertise themselves (not ones who try and stay out of the limelight), maybe see if I've got some food I cooked recently and chuck that up too and/or some motivational pictures that keep me going... I guess this is going to turn in to anything training related from me but I will be trying to keep a log as the main focus

There are a couple of better pictures floating around of when this lot was at the gym but these were the easiest to find... Tony Freeman, Ivan Sadek and Luke Schembri all hit up the gym one day and did a photoshoot with Daniel Repeti, all of these are his pictures off his facebook

And here is one of the boys who's a regular, Evan Godbee... I believe his next competition is WNBF Pro World's and this is him 16 weeks out

I was starting to get angry for missing so many days off training and it was getting me down a bit, that happen to anyone else?
Either way, I finally got back in to the gym yesterday and it felt good. My back is still swollen so I had to take it easy, couldn't lay flat on a bench but managed to bench with a bar fine. Only problem was the laying down and getting up but the press itself was fine. Did 9 sets then did 3 sets of dips and 4 sets of flys on a machine, by that point was getting some aches so called it a day. Going back in today, I'd like to be able to work my legs and back a little but I'll see what's possible and what isn't later on. It's getting better though anti-inflammatory's are working wonders on the bruising
