What you need a boiling pot with lid.

Fill your pot with cold water
Place your chicken ( does not matter how it is cut. You can put a whole chicken in it. I do tenderloins) in the pot no cover
Turn on stove and let it cook till its a rolling boil
Take bowl off the hot burner and place it to the side put the cover on it.
Set timer for 15 min and let it sit ( no heat on it)

15 min and done

chicken comes out so tender it just falls apart in your hand ;)

OMG its the best. My friend told me about this. He learned it from a top cook. He said people use more myo in their chicken sailed because the chicken is so dry so he came up with this. The chicken controls the rate of the boil bringing it to the perfect temp.

Gonna have to give this a try. I've ended up eating dry chicken too many times.

No spices or anything???

Mrs Flex throws a whole chicken in the slow cooker with a bunch of spices and some chicken stock and it's perfect by the time we get home from work.

I can't imagine plain boiled chicken....

This is how I've always cooked chicken, although I add celery, carrots, onion, bell pepper.

I've recently been making my chicken salad this way with a little olive oil in the pan for the boil.

4lbs of chicken breasts
2 avocados
2 bunches of purple grapes sliced in half (I've also used craisins and cranberries)
half of a red onion
miracle whip mayo

With this method of boiling the chicken, I stick a big fork through the chicken and take a small fork to peel the chicken off in shreds.....makes a bunch of servings throughout the week. When bulking, I prefer onion bulky rolls with land o lakes american cheese for a wonderful sammich. Love it.
