I make subtle changes every couple of weeks. Nothing radical - vary reps & maybe rest periods slightly; change the order of a couple of exercises here and there; substitute dumbbell for barbell or machine for db or whatever on the odd exercise, etc.

Raiden made good points about training in the way that works best for you, and also regarding meal frequency. I'm 45 and typically eat 4 times a day. I may occasionally eat an extra meal or occasionally eat only 3 meals, but my meals are pretty full meals and not overly frequent. 6 small meals a day is not practical for me.
