People used to run because they needed to run.
And others ran and pretty soon they were competing on
who was the fastest, who could run the farthest, etc.
The same thing with swimming and biking. Finally someone said,
hey you're pretty good at swimming, but are you any good
at biking or running. No..but let me give it a try. Then lots of people
joined in and they had a competition full of athletes with varying backgrounds.
I wonder if the people that stuck with running and never tried competitive cycling/swimming
had negative things to say about the athletes that did all 3?
I look at CF as a combination of weight lifting, endurance, and strongman with a few skill twists (double unders, rings, handstand walks, etc.)
