I love gym bros who make up ego lifts. My team moving to a bigger "open door" facility has reintroduced me to this fine spectacle of people-watching and it's fantastic!
There IS value to doing stand-ups or squat lock-outs ( same thing, different terms).... especially for wide stance guys who have balance issues, but also for guys to get used to the feel of having bigger weights on your back.... But, this is usually done with around 100lbs over your top end squat.
This poor guy couldn't even lock it out and hold it...... probably the same sort of bro who bashes geared lifting online.... LOL
