Re: Rampage - new program and a new me -5x5

Monday: Day 2

Deadlifts:
135 x 5 (5 sets)

Question: Since the order of my exercises is: deadlifts, military, dips, curls, what happens if someones on the military press after im done my deadlifts?
Luckily this guy was finishing up right when I got there:D

Military press:
warmup: 45 x 5
95 x 5 (5 sets)

Dips:
Bodyweight (165lbs x8 ) 3 sets

DB Bicep curls
50 x 8
50 x 8
50 x 6

After workout, 1/2 cup of oats and a protein shake.

So far I'm loving this program, knowing exactly what exercises I need to do really makes a difference for me.
You don't have to be that strict. If equipment isn't available just move on and come back to it when you can.

I do 5x5 at least a couple months a year. I'm a big fan.

I thought being strict would be a good idea but if its not a big deal then thats fine

IMO it's more important to keep working than keep things in proper order. Try to keep your structure.

Day 3:

Squats:
warm up with the bar; 45 x 5 (2 quick sets)

115 x 5 (4 sets) resting 1 1/2 minutes between each set

125 x 5 (1 set)

Barbell Bench Press:
bar x 5 (2 quick sets)

135 x 5 (4 sets)

145 x 5 (1 set)

Bent over two-arm long bar Rows:

80 x 5 (4 sets)

90 x 5 (1 set)

Did these instead of barbell rows because I cant seem to get my form right on that..
Is it fine that I did this instead of the bb rows?

Ab Crunch machine:
70 x 8 (3 sets)

1/2cup oats and shake right after;

5x5 is a great. I use it a couple times a year. Sucks when you get stuck at a weight but if you stay w/it and overcome, it does definitely make you stronger.

Good Luck
