Decopression of the cockpit would not cause any death at all just a hell of a temp change and some lack of oxygen initially.

On a serious note, from what Ive seen on the news, they probably arent going to find the plane. Its at the bottom of the 15000ft Indian Ocean..

I hope they find the plane so the families of there loved ones have closure.incredible that with all our modern technology we cannot find the plane.i hope with international effort they find the plane and piece exactly what went wrong.

I have heard "the black box is a dud after 30 days" I doubt it, then someone else said it. But I believe its on there for life. yes it pings only for 30 days.

If iphone can upgrade every 6 months, Honeywell needs to upgrade the Blackbox. (of course easier said then done)
I guess GPS does not work that far below the sea.
