I'm not too crazy about ketchup myself - I usually prefer something else like A-1 or BBQ sauce even on fries. And I never put it on steaks or burgers.

Not a huge fan of ketchup either; it's for kids.

Heinz 57 sauce FTW for fries. Worcestershire sauce on burgers.

Never any sauce on my steaks. If cooked properly they have their own juicyness.

Yeah, a good steak doesn't need a heavy sauce or gravy at all. I do like a little au jus if I'm cooking steak at home or if I can get it when eating out, but even that is not really needed with a great steak. I like A-1 with cheaper steak.

Creole mustard, Tabasco, and usually a little woo-shire (and maybe a little A-1 or Tiger sauce if not the best meat) on a burger.

I have to give credit to Mrs Flex for this one.

All I did was carve it.

Looks DAMN good! One thing I like to do with leftover prime rib sometimes is put some of it in the slicer, heat it up with the pan drippings, and make po-boys.

Normally I don't get too fancy with the steaks, but Mrs Flex made her home-made steak marinade today for our Strip Loins tonight:

1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic

Combine all ingredients with a hand blender or a give it a good whisking.

I put the steaks and the marinade in a Ziplok bag for a few hours before cooking....
