Thanks to conservatives for thinking up an idea (an end around normal laws) that the liberals will now use to implement gun control. It's amazing the ignorance and arrogance of the Republicans and Democrats thinking that the laws they create to achieve their goals won't turn around and bite them on the ass later.

Fucking asshole partisans.

In light of the Supreme Court's decision, Newsom said he directed his staff to draft a bill that would allow private citizens to seek injunctive relief "against anyone who manufactures, distributes, or sells an assault weapon or ghost gun kit or parts in the State of California."

Sounds like if you aren't manufacturing, distributing or selling an "assault weapon" or ghost gun kits or parts, then you're OK. Doesn't say anything about possessing...yet.

I never wanted to live there in the first place nor did I envy any of the elites living there.

Yet another reason to set up domicile and business in Nevada and sell to all the CA people who can simply drive over in a couple hours and purchase that product legally.

Now that Texas conservatives has let the genie out of the bottle these clever laws will used to attack all kinds of liberties. This is just the beginning. Texas conservatives have shown how to bypass normal law and use the civil courts to destroy companies and people, financially. Lawyers are going to make a fortune in the years to come.

That's not how this law works.

For anyone wondering how we got here.. This is what happens when you adopt a 'win at all cost' partisan attitude. Conservatives could never accept settled law, in this case. So Texas conservatives crafted a law which almost works outside of the law (in a sense).

Republicans and Democrats cults are destroying America.

Same method that was used against the tobacco industry and is being used against the firearms industry (NRA itself is now out of money). You would need to go back a long ways to find the first time this method of using civil suits to advance political doctrine. Jonah Goldberg wrote extensively on this in his 2008 book "Liberal Fascism".

Fascism comes in right wing and left wing flavors. No matter who is trying to control who, it's wrong.

Gavin's response is to Texas, here. He never entertained this idea before now. He figured why not? Fair's fair?

People in this country need to learn to mind their own mother fucking business.
