In my rocking chair rocking my 2 week old Grandson to sleep. My daughter and Son in Law were staying with us after he was born for a few weeks. Being from NJ I knew a lot of people in the Towers. New life vs lost of life.

I was doing some ab training after I had lost a lot of weight that summer from graduating a fatty. I was upside down, back to floor, legs on the bed, and saw the smoking building on the news. First thing I thought (and said) was some idiot just ran into a building in New York!...watched for a while then got into my car...when I got to class we had the TV on and saw the other plane....we all sat in silence...then we heard about the pentagon, then the plane that went down...and we all knew...and we were all shocked.

We didn't learn that day...everyone was sent home...I watched the news for about 48 hours straight. Which gave birth the horrible 24/7 news networks we have today..but yeah...I was doing situps...I remember the whole day very well.

Both wife and I was getting ready to go to work.
The phone rings and its a guy working for me telling me that a plane hit.
I thought it would be a small plane like a Cessna 172 or something.
Turned on the tv and saw it live. Called my wife over.
We both watched when the second plane hit.
I knew at that moment that things will change. It was a strange feeling knowing that America just got attacked.
I always carry a gun but that day I put on extra magazines, it made me feel a bit more secure.

Went to work and we all sat around watching TV that day.
It was a horrible day. Never will forget how I felt and the images I saw.

Getting ready for work, My oldest boy came running in telling me and I thought it was a accident til I saw the replay of it and the 2nd plane hitting it. Strange both my Sons, who were just kids, ended up fighting these assholes in Iraq and Afghanistan.

**** muslims and their shitty religion and dirtball countries. Those dirty pigs from Palestine to Saudi Arabia were cheering in the streets...wonder how they felt when our 1st Bombers unleashed hell on their dirty night shirt wearin camel goat humping selves.
PS include Mexico in that rant too, they were also cheering , cowards , too scared to fight for their own freedoms and rights so they sneak into a country they hate.

NEVER FORGET AMERICA, seems many have

GM, there are times when "politically incorrect" is just sooo satisfying, and, well, "correct."

Ever since 911 I've been so focused on exactly who did it, which countries provided shelter, and which more sneakily provided hugh financial support that I'd totally forgotten what you described, that the common man in many of those countries was out in the streets celebrating. You just brought back a horrible mental picture, and illuminated my dark side.

True RD, I think it's ''easier'' for some to be politically correct, you never have to make harsh decisions, face reality. I cant reconcile giving these assholes our money and arms only to have them funneled to people to kill OUR Soldiers and people. We as a Nation actually NEED to wake our Dark Side and unleash it now before it's too late. The way we're raising our next generation and the way the rest of our enemies are raising theirs = doom

I'm in utility construction, I was working in queens when the first plane hit. We were all glued to the car radio. By the time the pentagon was struck we were told to go home. Wife and I rounded up the kids and headed for the safety of our home. My company is also hazmat trained first responders. Was called into ground zero that night around 11:00 PM. A police escort came to queens and escorted 20 backhoes over the Brooklyn bridge. An absolute horrific night of chaos at the pile. We stayed for almost 3 months. I'll never forget!!

I wonder if we're ever going to know the 'full' truth.
