sugar and butter on grits and or couscous?

I add butter and sugar to grits and or couscous and call it desert. I can't eat it anymore, sometimes I will though but it's delicious.

Growing up before Round up days ,,used too eat a lot of shredded wheat butter and sugar used for call them bird nests

YOU PUT SUGAR ON YOUR GRITS !!??? Sugar goes on Corn Flakes, not on Corn Grits!
Bacon or ham grease ….yes. Butter…..yes. Salt and Pepper and mixed with my OE eggs….yes.
Sugar? Not on MY grits!

That wasn’t too much over the top was it? I wanted to display vehemence but not so much that folks think that I have some Confederate money saved under my mattress for when the south rises again.
