I’m 55 and quit drinking about five years ago.
Much easier to keep the bf% down and it doesn’t cut into my workout time.
I just find the two activities to be unsustainable long term.
So, I chose to give up alcohol.
I feel lighter on my feet nowadays, too.
And I also prefer just to cruise on test and add some proviron for better definition.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want to go back to my big boy days at this stage in my life.
235 down to 200 lbs and I’m fine with that!!

I am just curious. Not here to bag on drinkers. I know me and at 60+ years old, I do better without it.

My limit is 3 oz in any evening, either 3 x 5oz wine or the equiv of expensive bourbon and stout, plus pretty much retired so the expensive tastes limits the quantity. Used to not have any alcohol during the week, but during Winter and getting home from work about 7p, a bourbon or some wine in the rocker by the fireplace is pretty relaxing. Having said that, I had better gains and was leaner when I only had EtOH on the weekends and no excessive intakes.
