Xoom and Transferwise

seems like with XOOM you can send paypal to many different countries, has anyone used it yet?
China was of limits with paypal for a while seems like it can be done with XOOM.

Has anyone sent funds with transferwise? I wonder if an online registered visa gift card will work?

I learned about Transferwise earlier this week, have yet to try it and most likely wont as it exposes who the sender of the funds.
