Hello Guys so i just want to do one exercise for my triceps in my routine i did triceps pressdowns and also barbell triceps extension i got much more better triceps activation in triceps extension barbell what you will gonna choose?
should i do just triceps extension? is it better than triceps pressdown? thanks!

Tricep extensions can be rough on your elbows if not properly warmed up. Is there any reason why you can't do both exercises?

Neither exercise. Both put way too much stress on the triceps tendon and you will have big time pain soon.

The JM press is much better

I very rarely do triceps on their own, I believe you get plent of work, activation of the triceps doin all your bench press and shoulder press variations especially if ur using decent weight.
Cable kickbacks are my choice

Tricep extensions can be rough on your elbows if not properly warmed up. Is there any reason why you can't do both exercises?
so i have question if i do warmup properly and better will triceps extension with barbell be much more growth stimulator and working much more muscle fibers or triceps pushdown? thank you!

First, I'd recommend warming up your elbows thoroughly. Then I would do 3 - 4 sets of pushdowns with a bar, then do 3 - 4 sets of tricep extensions (skull crusher style).

Of those 2 exercises, tricep extensions work better for me, but they can also be rough on your elbows if done first. Pushdowns are an effective tricep exercise, but they also do a great job of warming up your elbows, which is why I would recommend doing both.

Also, with tricep extensions, focus more on form than weight... a lot of new guys pile too much weight on the bar and end up working their front delts more than their triceps.

i am doing warmup on dips and then doing triceps extensions with proper form 6-10 reps + Superset dips and its killing my triceps. thank you!

tate presses or Jm presses. Dont warm up with dips, use some light high rep push downs
