More of a conspiracy theory. He indeed is for population control but i think people twist his words into something completely different. He believes that the planet has too many people but the best way to reduce the population is by managing the health of children. Hes stated that parents from third world countries have so many kids is because they know some wont reach adulthood. Therefore when you manage the healthcare of children especially those in 3rd world countries the population stabalizes itself as parents have less kids

Gates has been involved in vaccination and curing of infectious diseases in Africa for years. It doesn't surprise me that he wants to do what he can to come up with a Corona virus vaccine. I applaud him for it. If he can do something to move things along more quickly, that's a good thing. If he makes money in the process, why should I care? If I came up with a vaccine that saved tons of lives and got the entire world economy back on its feet, I presume I'm entitled to some reasonable compensation.
Having said all that, just because he's a billionaire and knows operating systems, doesn't mean he knows the best way to "flatten the curve," etc. I don't think a complete shutdown of civilization for the next 12 weeks is the best course of action. But he gets his two cents, and so do I.

Yeah I agree. Nobody knows for sure any of these conspiracy theories and if they are true. And right now whoever can come up with the vaccine for this shit first then good. But as far as him knowing anything else besides knowing how to dump money into anything I would rather listen to a medical professional when it comes to this and other illnesses.

A part of me wants to believe that he is trying to do some good for this world, but those rich guys just see money everywhere, and I think that he is the same. Money attracts money, lol. I lost the job due to the virus and I had to find a way to earn some money. I did the same thing all the people without a job did, I searched online for a job. I bumped upon side hustle ideas which were actually helpful. Who would have thought that I could become someone's assistant, but you can do that online now. Bill Gates will never have that problem lol.

I don't know and I don't care truly if he's going to profit off the vaccine. Having a hundred billion dollars already I can't see him worrying about making more.
Population control??? I'm all for it to be honest. 8 billion people on this little planet we can't get along with each other. Everything is a matter of race or gender or who were identifying as or what I should say.
We're mass-producing food as fast as we possibly can and there are still starving people around the world. People keep cranking out babies there's not going to be enough food to go around but even worse clean water is going to be very scarce. Desalinization is an option but what happens when we drain the oceans? I know I know that's years down the road and will all be dead but we don't need to crank out millions of babies Non-Stop and on the opposite end finding ways to prolong our lives so there's more and more people living on the planet is just not a long-term feasible plan.
all this talk about moving to another planet all we're going to do there is move and f*** that place up too.
My business relies 100% on face-to-face in person work. It's impossible for me to make a dollar unless clients come to see me. I've been self-employed for over 20 years I do everything right business-wise and to me the vaccine is a light at the end of the tunnel not because I believe in the vaccine but more because we've got to do something to help slow this virus down because if I get shut down again the banks aren't going to lend me any more money to stay open, I've already maxed out credit cards so all will happen to me is all end up out of business and on the street.
Our government just like most every other country thinks locking down this business or that business or limiting gatherings of 10 people if it's a high school graduation but it's okay for 150 people to go to a wedding it's so arbitrary and stupid. Having bars close at 10:00 p.m. isn't going to keep people from getting sick unless there's something I don't know about the virus only coming out after 10:00 p.m.???
I'm too damn old to start a new business and way way too broke now to survive if this thing continues in the direction it's going.
I guess my career in gay porn might take off if that's my only option LOL
