Was married for 30yrs, 3 children (all girls all grown now), have one grandchild...2 are married, one is an rebel...

For the ones who divorced...Do u really think u loved the person or was it infatuation?...I'm begining to think it was infatuation on my part...I know she didn't love me for fact...Just not sure what my feelings were...I've been accused of my feelings being that of infatuation, rather than genuine love...What about u?
.
Maybe it’s just me but 30 years sounds like a lot more than infatuation.

Bastard:oops:!

Anyway Middy as you may recall my first wife was killed by a drunk driving motherfucker up in Montana and my life went to shit for a couple of years before I got my shit together and met a Super Hot chic that spoils the shit out of me as I do her.
Living the retired life after coming home in 2007 can't believe it has been that long already holy smokes.
Bought a place late last year in Az for the winters and this is our first year down here til middle to late March and then heading North for a bit.
BRoke a bunch of bones when I hit a deer on my ZX14R (he hit me actually) got a cervical fusion and left shoulder overhauled from that and last winter I was snowmobiling and my skid hit a submerged steel gate and slammed me into a tree which destroyed my right shoulder and cracked my scapula.
Pics in a post on here somewhere.
Lovin life and living the dream but covid is phucked still recovering and getting my muskles back in order this year we are planning some hiking and exploring in Montana and Utah as well as a bunch of skydiving.
Really glad you are back man as you are one of the True old school brothas!
Cheers
Damn bro I had forgotten about your wife. Tragic shit man. Sorry all that happened.

Glad you met a great gal bro.

Damn, it sounds like you've been busted up bro. On the bright side I've known quite a few people that took their last ride and never went home or recovered. Glad you made it! So many don't!

Thanks too! I'm glad to be back homey.

Well.........I may hold the record.......been married 4 times. Once I got back from Vietnam I was a mental wreck full of anger and violence. I could hardly get along with myself much less others. So I went through women like water. Had two long term careers, on in the bars (21 years) the last teaching and being a coach (23 years). Work and sports were the only stable part of my life. Retired in 2016 and work part time as an adjunct professor and actually love my job. I have been happily married to my 4th wife for about 25 years before that 1 year was the longest. We have one kid who left home to be a socialist/antifa bum and never hear from him.

Wish I was retired and living in two places.

Some of you know I had married a crazy chick, been divorced for 8 years now.

Moved out of, and into many states over the last 6 years. Feels weird living in the same place for a few years.

Met the current GF 3 years ago through some friends. She is a great match for me. Loves to workout, travel, hike, and just be outdoors. She’s hot, has a lot of emotional intelligence, and knows how to be independent. A rough part is She lost her dad 6 months ago and it’s been hard navigating this with her, all while my dad isn’t doing well. I can be very emotionless when I have work to do.

The first part of Covid we watched a lot of Netflix, now we both decided to work on our master’s and spend all free hours doing school work.

That’s the current life. Eventually will move out of here to CO or maybe some other mountainous area so I can have more nature around me.
Awesome life bro. i spent 22 years with one company and left April 2019 to Manage a Harley Davidson Dealership. Hated that lasted a year and bounced around a bit looking for the right fit.

Emotionless or semi detached is the story of my life. It's hard to turn that switch on, but I hope you try for the good of your relationship. I have one too many gals in my rear view because of my stone cold emotion at times. Empathy is the key word I think. I keep the word closer then ever and I think I'm better for it.

Twice divorced, 1 kid with first wife, 2 kids with second wife. They are 30, 25, 17. All boys.

Not married legally now but been with my gurl for 15+ years. She has 1 son from her previous marriage and he is 25 and lives with us. All 3 of us lift. We have a half decent home gym.

Happy as Fuck.
Awesome bro. Keep things just as they are if you're both happy. Marriage is a piece of paper bro ... nothing more. It doesn't bind anyone to a commitment. The commitment is not as important as having a real soul mate?

Pushing 51, married 20yrs to same woman (both of us RNs). Waited til I was 30 to get hitched which helped me get it right I guess. 1 daughter who’s 9 and my mini-me.

Weed, Bourbon and my hot tub got us both thru COVID-19. My kid is a competitive Gymnast so she’s always at practice or in bed by 8pm so bumpin uglies 4-5 nights a week makes for happy home too.
Damn, I miss my hot tub more then my x wife! Had it for 10 years kept it up all year. No room for it at my condo so left it behind. I'm sure my x friend and her new hubby uses it often lol...

I think the last one was in fact what you speak of. She was hot af but we really had a hard time as time went by finding common ground and interests other then the gym.

Looks aren't everything man ... I have learned this and am more open minded to what's in the soul of a woman.

Remarried. 3 kids. 14 dogs. These two are mastiffs. The black one is a Boerboel and has an 800 lb. bite force (strongest in the world). He weighs 165. They're bred in South Africa to kill lions. The other is a Cane Corso and has a 700 lb. BF (3rd strongest). He weighs 140. They were bred in Italy as war dogs. Most of the other dogs are smaller.

Married with 2 young daughters. Never wanted boys. Too weak.

My perspective on love is that it’s a choice, not a feeling. There is no perfect partner. We will always be somewhat broken and no human being is going g to change that.

I love my wife because I choose to love her even if she’s acting unlovable. She does the same for me.

She’s just about the opposite of me: MA in creative writing, singer, poet, nerd, never done (or sold!) drugs, never been in trouble with the law. She does SQUAT HARD though and we enjoy time in the gym together.
