I have used it several times in conjunction with diet and exercise however I could not tell you if it really works or not. Does anybody have experience with White Kidney Bean Extract as a carb blocker? Would love to hear your experiences with White Kidney Bean Extract.

White kidney bean extract doesn't really "block" carb digestion. It competitively inhibits an enzyme reponsible for breaking down carbs, amylase I believe but don't quote me. The actual reduction in carb digedtion is miniscule and at higher doses is more likely to cause indigestion and constipation rather than weight loss. Money would be better spent on Carnitine coupled with a low carb diet IMO.

A bean alpha-amylase inhibitor formulation (starch blocker) is ineffective in man
GL Carlson, BU Li, P Bass and WA Olsen
Abstract
A commercial alpha-amylase inhibitor with potent inhibitory activity in vitro was used in a randomized double-blind, cross-over clinical trial in six nonobese, healthy adult males. In these subjects, this inhibitor had no effect on the response of blood glucose, insulin, or breath hydrogen to a standardized starch meal. It is concluded that this formulation has no effect on starch digestion in humans.

Ditto. I didn't notice anything. I'm convinced there are no magic pills when it comes to diet.

Capn's stone-age law number 1: Magic pill for weight loss = calories eaten need to be LESS THAN calories burned. Study this formula. Be this formula. LIVE this formula. :)

Beano MOST DEFINITELY works to stop gas, however. And that is very important in a cave. lol
