Which powerlifting record is the most impressive to you? And why?

This right here. I don't back squat anymore, but once in a blue moon. Degenerative disk disease just makes the recovery too long for what I do, bodybuilding. I don't want to miss training or have to take it easy, because I did back squat that I could have easily replaced with a SSB, Hatfield, Hack, Leg Press, etc... Legs are strong AF. There isn't a machine in the gym I don't max out, full ROM with a slow tempo for double digit reps. It got to the point I started doing single legs on hack squats and I am already up to 6 pps for 8 reps. However, I did back squats this week and when I pulled 600 lbs off the rack, I was like, "Holy fuck this is heavy." Walking it out I wasn't sure I would hit it then when I got into position, it felt like nothing. My legs could have handled another 150-200 lbs with ease. However, my back and CNS would have tapped out with another 50 lbs.
Same here. L4 and L5 are fucked with degenerative disk disease. So squats and deadlifts are done as well and anything else where I have to put weight on my back. But the leg press is sure working nicely. Occasionally I will do the squat machine. My powerlifting days and lifting heavy weight are long gone. Too many severe injuries.

Bro, you are missing out! I load it up to the maximum and band that bitch up then make sex grunts with each thrust. I post that shit on IG and in the captions always say something like, "Got to ensure the wife stays happy."

I have a picture a Canadian took and sent to me of a world championship. I was pulling a world record deadlift and Captain Kirk was right to the back of me yelling. He was always a damn good lifter.
That's fucking awesome !

I actually asked my Dean to put a Nautilus Glute Drive machine in our fitness center. She actually spent the money. Its been there for maybe 4-5 years and I have never tried to use it. It would probably be good for me since my low back is so fucked up. But no thanks, I will stick to the leg press.

I had a long talk to Captain Kirk a the Orlando WPO professional powerlifting meet with Anthony Clark. He is a pretty cool guy.

Honestly I really do not follow the sport but watch the vids all the time. Elite power lifters amaze me, all of them. they are built different. I used to PL back in the 90s but not competitively. Now I am skinny and weak.

Compression fractures t7-t12, no back loaded movements for me either. I live for benching now. LOL
