Whatcha Squatting These Days???

Since Turbo made a thread asking what everyone benches I thought I'd make a thread and ask what everyone's squatting these days. I know a lot of us are focusing on our squat.

As well as posting your best squat also let us know the specifics like high bar/low bar, narrow/wide stance, wrap/sleeves/etc, belt, walked out of a rack or in a mono, etc...

So let hear's it what the best you've taken for a ride....

I'll start. My recent best is 600lbs walked out with wraps and belt. I've switched to a lower bar position and use a semi wide stance.

Most of you know I tore my adductor in October so its been a slow crawl back. I hit 425 for a paused triple in the mono. Belt and no wraps. The squat has always been my lift. It feels natural to me and I love the fear of it and the challenge. So its been depressing working my way back up. But after that triple I feel like my mojo is back. I am still gonna go slow working it back up but its exciting to see it moving again.

The worst part about the injury was it was at a meet where I planned to break 1600. My squat attempts would have been 550, 600, 640. And I had that 640. I was conditioned, bloated, strong as I had ever been but I just didn't warm up enough. My own fault. I have always been shy in the warm up area. Not anymore. Get out of my way, this is my warm up bar will be my new attitude. Screw everyone else.

I'm glad you posted this BI ! I was actually getting ready to post this thread. Haha

My best squat is a 405 box squat with light band tension. The box was a little above parallel. Walked out. No gear or wraps. Just belt. Body weight was around 240.

As for front squats, I've hit 445lbs easily several times. I front squat narrow stance, Oly style with just belt and knee sleeves. I don't wrap my knees when I front squat.

Raw with belt and wraps - 720

might do a raw contest this year just for fun.

465x1 with belt only a few weeks ago, just got wraps and started learning to squat with them... Went up to 405x4 just to feel it out...@174lb

pretty sure i started this thread by derailing the bench thread...
anyhow, my best squat as of late was 350x6 RAW (and by raw i mean no belt, no straps, no shirt, no pants; just my UnderArmour bloomers and a pair of Chucks. THATS HOW I ROLL) on a knee with patellar tendonitis that i tore an mcl on 3-4 years ago. no pussy girly squats either; ASS TO GRASS!
took me 3 years just to get back over 300 for fear of blowing out my knee again, and even then i overcompensated with my other leg on that first 300lb squat and it was sore as FUUUCK for like a week after.
so let that be a lesson to you kids; LIFT WITH YOUR BACK SO YOU DONT HURT YOUR KNEES!
