Ewwwww weeeeeeeee!

Alex vs KRJ is a banger. Alex is a killer, we know this. he is the champ. Alex has 4 wins with 1 decision and Khalil is on a tear with 5 wins and only one decision. Both guys are strikers. Both guys are technical and have power. Khalil has to use his kicks to keep Alex at distance as Alex's power is in his hands. I am really looking forward to this fight. I would love to see Khalil get the win but I could not bet against Alex. The dude has the death touch.

Rocky vs Raquel. I really do not care, Rocky is a weak champ. yeah she has the belt, but they put her against Pena who lost her last fight. Hot do you get a title shot with a loss. Granted it was against the goat of women's MMA in Amanda Nunes.

Aldo in 50% in his last 2. He fights Bautista on a 6 fight win streak. this will be his test to see if he belongs. Aldo is the gatekeeper now. Aldo does best in standup fights, Bautista wants a grappling match.

Ketlen vs Kayla, Ketlen is a good fighter but Kayla is a beast. Her grappling and strength will be too much for Ketlen.

Roman vs Holland this is a fan friendly fight. Roman is a bulldozer of a striker and Holland a counter striker. Both guys have won their last but lost the two before and both had win streaks before those losses. These guys want that win bad and it should be real fun for us.

Wonder Boy vs Buckley WB has 1 win in his last 4. Grapplers just take him down. Buckley will stand and trade so we can see some awesome stand up. Buckley is 4-0 in his last fights 2 KO/TKO and 2 decisions vs tough guys. I have high hopes that WB can do some magic and we will have a great striking match.

Pereira is a monster. I will root for Khalil but he does not have the chin for a battle.
Pena if she can get the takedowns.
Aldo just beat Johnathon Martinez who is a STUD fighter who lost to the champ but made it a good fight. I think he beats Bautista
Kayla She is a -1050 favorite, almost no way she looses.
Holland This is a close fight on paper. Holland is tricky and has craftiness on his side.
Buckley. He is on a nice streak. Thompson is 1-3 in his last 4. Granted vs the elite of the division. Still should be a great fight.

I am terrible at picks. Thats why i do not gamble.

Alex knew he was in a fight, Khalil is good. Alex's size kept Khalil at the end of his punches. If they were the same size, Khalil would do much better. Still great fight.
Pene won but i thought she lost the first round and that would have given the fight to Rocky. Judges suck.
Mario vs Aldo \was a showcase of Aldo's TD defense. Mario won but he won no fans just pressing Aldo against the fence.
I slept on Dolidze. I thought he was 1 dimintional he is not.
Kayla and Vieira went like we thought. Kayla has a chin. Vieira crackerd her severl times.

  • Fight of the Night: Alex Pereira vs. Khalil Rountree Jr.
  • Performance of the Night: Joaquin Buckley and Ryan Spann

I thought Pena lost as well. I had Rocky winning 1, 4, and 5....and I was cheering for Pena to win. The judges were horrendous.

Holy crap, did you watch the Potiera/Almeida fight? That ref was so bad that they were very open about it on the commentary and even another ref sitting next to Rogan et al got up all pissed off because it looked so bad. Potiera got pocked in the eye like 4-5x and not even 1 point deduction or warning was given. Heck, he didn't even stop the fight on like 3 of them. Then he got whacked in the cup, which the ref did stop, fortunately for him because it was right after the first or second eye poke that wasn't stopped! I didn't even care which guy won the fight, and Potiera has been a dick in the past, but I don't like seeing guys get the shaft like that.

The main fight, Khalil/Pereira, was a pretty good fight. Khalil won the first 2 rounds, but the Alex worked him over in the 3rd round with those calf kicks that changed the projectory of the fight, along with Khalil gassing some.

Buckley straight Mike Tyson'd Wonderboy. It was a close and interesting fight up until that final round. I wasn't sure how to judge it. He took the judging out of the equation with the KO.

The Pena/Rocky fight was boring until maybe the last round; and then Holland had to pull out due to a rib injury.

I think Harrison will beat down Pena. Pena may have an edge on the feet, and she is sort of crafty on the ground, but I think Kayla will be too hungry and strong for her. That said, rounds 2 and 3 were slow for Kayla. Vieira hung in there and even cracked her in the forehead with an elbow IIRC.

Yea, Bautista did what he had to do to win, but it was pretty boring. The first round was decent. Here is another example of where Aldo completely abandoned the kicks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds....so frustrating. The guy has devastating kicks, and yet he abandons them:eek:

Yeah I saw that travesty of judging. That guy wont do UFC anymore. He can go ref kickboxing or karate.

I think Pena will be a tougher test for Kayla as she has power, is a better striker, is strong and is a back taking machine. I would like to see Kayla forced to fight and burn gas. i bet she cannot go 5 rounds.
