I remember reaching out to one of my closest friends growing up who won a ton of college awards and had something like 450 carries in his last year in college and played in the NFL for a couple years. (Seeing him score a TD was a personal highlight of mine) and asking him what he thought of playing in those leagues and he said “they are fun if you don’t mind being worried about an ex-con trying to level you on the backside of every play.” He said he could never even mess around with that stuff because as soon as people found out who he was they’d act like it was the Super Bowl and try and hurt me.

I mean looking at him other than being muscular he was barely 6 feet a little over 200 pounds you’d never know he was a former NFL running back. There’s a scene in the movie “little children” with flag football that really rings this home. I remember playing in a flag football league not long after college with some buddies and the guy on the other side had through he put together a superstar flag football team. first game of the season the third or fourth play of the game I dropped back and took an INT back the whole length of the field and I was on a strict 12 ounce curl program at the time and the kid fully melted down to the point half his team left…

You're a better man then me. I was a fellow semi-pro warrior, but checked out in my mid-late 20's. The random old dogs who were still playing mid-late 30's were mentally insane haha.

My first semi-pro year, I had a teammate who played at a power 5 school. He was like 37, and when I was 22 fresh out of college - I thought he was like a wise, old, maniac grandpa OLB lmao. Now I'd give anything to be 37 again!

Anyway he used to say - when I was 20, I didn't know what was going on on the field. But I was fast enough and athletic enough to make up for it, get there, and make plays. Now I know exactly whats going to happen before the ball is even snapped...but I just can't get there anymore.

That's when you know it's a wrap.
at 258 body weight I had a 4.7 and a 4.9 40 clocked in at the combine ,,, I had wheels when I was young hahahaha

Now I need the 4 wheeler to go that fast :p

OK, I have to admit when I saw Netflix was producing this fight I was hesitant to even watch. The 1sst match ended, it was absolutely horrible. I have been involved with the sport and watched boxing for 50 years and have never heard such horrible announcers. As for the production, I spent more time watching lag that the whole 6 rounds of the 1st match. Most likely I am going to turn this mess off as I just can't take any more of this shit show put on by Netflix. Right now the picture is lagging but the sound is still going. Now all of it is gone. Pathetic. I am out. Over to spend the rest of the night watching wrestling.

I am by no means a big boxing fan, but I thought that was a great fight. I couldn’t have picked a winner either.

We all talk about what a killer Tyson is. You forget how much of a gentleman he is. This vid is all 44 of his knockouts , he helps guys up , asks if they are ok , one guy you can even see him say, i'm sorry , too.

I couldn't watch it last night.
Watched it this morning. Tyson looked and fought terrible. Feel bad for all the people that paid to be there.

I just now watched a 13 second clip of the fight and that was enough. It was a pathetic rip off.

Was sad to watch. Mike definitely looked his age in the ring last night. I still give him mad props. He's a winner in my book 8 rounds and didn't get knocked down. Shit I'm only 42 and have a hard time just getting out of bed in the am.
