I just started working out two weeks ago. I am a beginner and started with a pyramid from 135 to 225, but could only do 3 reps of 225, the second week. I did it and had the same reps, and made it to 245. For a beginner, how do I build up strength to do ten reps at the higher weights. It seems like 205 is my limit for 10 reps. I am 47 retired military and have played with weights, never lifted seriously or done a legit weight training. :imlost: I also do not want to blow up and tear out of my shirts, just get strong.

What are you talking about, bench? Squat? dead?
Just based on what you posted here, if you can do 205x10, next week do 210 for however many until you get 10 then 215 and so on
