You specifically stated that each of these people were called an "existential threat to Democracy." That is what I responded to. They were NOT called that. Were they called mean names and mischaracterized? Yes. That's not what you said. I'm simply responding to your post that sounded like you had the goods. You do not.
I googled for instances where republicans had called Obama an existential threat to democracy, and came up with NADA. I did, however, come up with plenty of Obama calling Trump an existential threat to democracy.
Obama warned that the future of American democracy is on the line in the race between Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

If the stakes of the 2024 election are as great as the party says, there’s no excuse for inaction.

The point I was making is this:
(1) calling your opponent an idiot, or negligent, does not invite opponents to kill them.
(2) calling someone an existential threat invites opponents to do what you have to do, because if he's elected, it's all over.
After all, if Hitler came to power here, would any of us hesitate in doing our level best to eliminate him? I suspect so. So, if Trump truly is worse than Hitler, inaction is the worst form of cowardice. Let's face it. The Dems have found that political violence has worked pretty well as of late. Antifa, BLM, etc.
How much do you want to bet that we will soon be hearing warnings that cities will burn if Trump is elected. Again, I'm in my lawn chair (locked and loaded, with extra ammo, of course) with a bucket of popcorn in my lap. And when things burn, don't you know it'll be Trump's fault. Just like it's Trump's fault he got shot at. If he wasn't such a prick this wouldn't have occurred. LOL
I respect anyone who says I won't vote for the guy. But I'm tired of hearing he's a fascist, he's Hitler, and he's an existential threat to anything.
Hate to change topics, but what is it about people wearing suits with tennis shoes? When did this become a thing? I was watching football commentary, and these guys are all wearing $2,000 jackets, pants, etc. with tennis shoes on???? Then I saw Kamala in an interview, and she's wearing this nice, professional looking suit and a pair of tennis shoes. We are in strange days....
