Not so much here but I am tired of reading guys on a bulk diet at 5,000 cals. I have even read a one or two 6k bulk diets.
Now I know there's many different size people out there but for shits and giggles, lets go down the middle of the road with the math. A 5'-10, 220 lb male with an average activity level needs to be at about 3,000 cal/day. Now he wants to bulk so he adds in 500 more cals a day since that's the number they use for weight loss, he figures he needs that for weight gain. Problem is that 500 cals is for fat loss, not muscle gain. So he bumps it to 3,500 cals. The only way you need to be taking in 5,000 cals a day on a bulk is if you're 6'-2" 400 lbs and want to bulk. Good chance if that's you, you need a cut, not a bulk!
And when I see a post about a year later from the same dude asking "How do I lose this excess fat?" I really lose my shit. How about don't put it on in the first place?
