Day 2- Deadlift- 440 as my working max

Deadlifts
W/U- 185x10, 225x8
W/S- 285x5, 330x5, 380x5
****was supposed to use 375 not 380 for the last set but either way a 6th rep was probably not in me today! it has been too long since i hit deadlifts. i forgot just how much they can knock you down lol.

Leg Curls- 115x15, 115x15, 115x12, 85x15, 85x13
Walking DB Lunges(weight x2)- 25x16, 25x15, 25x12,25x10
Ab Wheel(kneeling)- BWx20, BWx16
*** leg curls and lunges hit legs hard and thoroughly. took both sets of the ab wheel to failure. will add a set to those when i am able to get 2 sets of 20

Today i just tried an exercise i havent used before: tire flips. discovered yesterday that we had 3 tires on our field. one is just a regular car tire. one is what i call the "small" tire the other being the "big" tire. after looking at hugerob's thread about tire flipping and a few different vids i decided i needed to use the big one since the small on doesnt come up to my knee. got a couple of vids to post to hopefully get a form check and see if one of you have an idea of what this tire weighs.

Tire Flips
Big Tire: x1(testing), x6,x5,x5,x4

Sprints
50 yard sprint/50 yard jog: 5
50 yard sprint/50 yard walk: 3

Total distance: 800 yards..... meh this sucked but atleast it gave me a starting point to improve on. once i can get to 20 sprint/jog i will probably look for a way to add weight to either me or something to drag behind me. i will do something like this twice a week. probably on deadlift and squat days just because they are right before rest days :D

will post video when i finish combining them.

Here's a tire flip instructional video from a bad ass gym in my area in MA. Notice the guys accent... Yeah people actually talk like that around here FML... Anyway I used to do tire flips for cardio and this was how I learned.

managed to acquire me a 40 foot piece of rope..... thinner than i wanted but it would work. and also got a tow strap :D

while it isnt anywhere hear the kind of equipment a strongman would have to work with it will do for now.

5/3/1 Cycle 1
Week 1

Day 3- Benchpress

Benchpress
w/u- 115x10, 145x8
175x5
205x5
230x7
***hit the reps i wanted for once! was going to attempt 8 but might have been pushing it. trying to stay away from failure sets. atleast until the 3rd week so i have a deload right after :D

Incline Benchpress(30 degree)- 135x10, 185x6, 175x8, 165x6, 135x8
Kroc Rows- 130x21, 100x28, 100x6 lulz
Rope Pushdowns(Kg)- 65x15, 70x12, 65x15

Other notes:
Kroc rows obliterated grip and lats! this time i made sure to watch some damn videos on this to figure out how to do them lol. I see why Wendler said he only did a couple of sets of these a week. these kill
Incline bench was all over the place tonight mostly due to me looking for a grip i liked. i found it so hopefully these will be a little more normal looking in the future

got a vid of the 230x7. looking for any advice but mostly just because i like taking videos:

Nice benching today! 270 for 7 is a very respectable weight bro.

Only advice I might have is keep a good arch in the back so your weight is carried by your traps up top. Keep the shoulder blades pulled tight and try and line your heels up with your hips and then make like you're trying to drive your heels into the ground. Your whole body should be tight. If I walked by and kicked you there shouldn't be any jiggling around. Also if you widen your grip it will reduce the range of motion for your shoulders and allow for more weight.

If you want more info on this stuff lemme know.
