Has a lot of what I use in my rub, give it a go. That smoked chipolte powder gives it a great taste. I use a smoked ancho chili which has a little stronger smoked num nums

I'd be careful especially if you are picking it up at his house. Looks pork oriented.

For beef I just use salt and pepper. I always say use what you like. Buy it and try it. If it's good stick with it.
