Petroleum is too big of an international trade to be scuttled.
Fuck Priuses and their drivers since were on that topic.
And electric cars aren't eliminating hydrocarbon use, just moving it to where the dumbasses don't see it so they think they're saving the world.
Petroleum is still the way to go, but something better/more efficient than the internal combustion engine needs to catch on. Fuel cells?

Been doing a little studying up on them...Also, it looks like some are focusing on hydrogen....One process (reaction) involves converting the hydrogen into methanol for storage, then back to hydrogen for energy use....They use a double catalyst process...Claim it to be proficient and of course green clear....
