135 x 10 x 4

Front Squat
Bar x 10 x 3

Carbnite, Day 38: 305.4 lbs

Normal cardio then squat cardio. Worked in with some girl who prob weighed 135... she out squatted me. No rest periods, she went, I went.

I’m breathing like a pug right now. Be humble.

Haven’t lifted all week, been in a mental funk lately. Looking to turn it back up this afternoon hopefully.

Day 39: 306 (CarbNite)
Day 40: 310.4
Day 42: 310.1
Day 42: 307.1
Day 43: 305.2
Day 44: 305.8

Going to jump on waist measurements this week since the scale is deceiving. I wish I had done that from Day 1 smh.

Today will be Squats, tomorrow is bench stuff with my homeboy. Should be fun.

Changing up the template to match my phone...

February 17: 305.1 (Day 46 - CarbNite)
February 18: 308.2
February 19: 305.4
February 20: 305.8
February 21: 301.2
February 22: 299.4* (Day 52)

Today marks the lowest I've been in almost two years. I looked back at my training logs from 2016 and by about June I got down to 280 from 306. Luckily, I was recording whenever I drank to see how it affected weight loss and strength... around the first week of June I stopped going to the gym and started drinking really heavy.

Much of the reason I stopped lifting was from socializing in the evenings with neighbors or afternoon solo drinking or because the day was stressful, etc. The rest of that year I continued to get blackout drunk on the regular and it all came to a halt NYE. New Years Day I said I would stop drinking for 30 days because of how embarrassed I was after finding out all I had done the night before. The first 30 days were a fucking nightmare. The next 60 were worse. I found a counselor, found a support group and replaced drinking with eating and playing this trading card game called Hearthstone. I never once tried to diet, only stepped in the gym a handful of times and just focused on sobriety and dealing with all the mental shit I avoided for decades by getting bent. Even my counselor told me to keep things the same so I didn't change everything and lose it all... much like how fat loss and dieting works.

While looking back on my training logs I also noticed that I started CarbNite around the same time: first week in January. The big change between then and now was that by the end of February I had already had a bottomless champagne brunch, drank two bottles of Larceny bourbon, went to a wine festival where I blacked out... needless to say, things spiraled out of control after that. CarbNite came quicker and quicker, started doing whiskey and deadlifts regularly... highlights being these noted sessions: 10 beers + 3 mimosas on one CarbNite, then four days later a half bottle of Bulleit, 3 days later half a bottle of wine, 3 days later a 12 pack of PBR, 8 fingers of Bulleit the next day... HOLY SHIT it sucks writing this all out! And that was just by May 2016...

So to sum it all up, February 2016 equaled the beginning of my year-long decline. February 2018 has me down 16 lbs. and my mental health is growing stronger daily. I haven't been in the gym in about two weeks but that's okay because I've been following my diet and stay walking decent distances on campus daily. It's nice to be able to keep up with all this stuff so when you need some motivation you can look back and say "I was strong once" or "I got to a decent body comp once". Hoping to continue on this path and be on that Vincent Dizenzo shit!
