Here's a pic that shows I've still got work to do on the midsection. At least 5-10 pounds to get where I want to be, and then MAINTAIN IT! LOL

I'm 57.

Just got back from a hiking trip in Utah. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys hiking. Did two days in Bryce Canyon, two days in Kodachrome Basin (Utah state park), and one day in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (Willis Creek Slot Canyon). Very wonderful trip. Temperatures in high 70s during the day, 50s at night, and about 4-6 hours of hiking a day.

Ate without any boundaries while I was gone (I'm on vacation!), so we're talking burgers, calzone, fried appetizers, ice cream, beer, etc. Came home and weighed 221, LOL. Since then I've dropped further, and weighed 218 this morning, LOL. I'm sure it's some water, but I'm pretty sure I lost a little fat. Now is the time to show some discipline.

I work out in the AM fasted, but do a protein shake post workout. Then nothing until lunch, where I eat solely protein and modest fats, no carbs. The dinner 5-6 hours later with a protein and veggie as sole carb source. Then nothing that evening except water. If I can keep the faith, I'll slowly drop. Nothing ever happens too quickly (except when I'm hiking long distances at elevation like Utah. When I did Kilimanjaro, I lost 15 pounds over 8 days, and ate pretty well, LOL)
