another shitty day in the rack. My squat has gone into the toilet the last two weeks. I felt really unballanced and could not brace for shit. Ended up at 330 simply ran out of time.
Some smart hippy wrote some shit once

" There is no such thing as great work without longevity. "

For me that sums up to , on any given day you do the best you can , the best way you can , thank your higher power for giving you another day to do it again then bag it and head upstairs for food a nap and live to fight another day.

330 is nothing to sneeze at on an off day.

You instantly want to feel better , go to the grocery store and walk around , first 20 guys you see would get crushed by that haahahah.

You are correct sir. And I honestly did not mean it as negatively as it sounded. More of a personal reminder to do my ab work and pay attention to my set up.
I think it had something to do with the back flare from last week. My hips are still not square and it throws off the balance so one end of the bar is forward of the other.

I know how that feels for sure and its frustrating as fuck. With my leg half shut off like it is and my l1 l2 a train wreck as soon as I get close to max load it's like I start to corkscrew to one side to get the bar up no matter what I do to compensate for it. Was driving me nuts until i backed off and just let it start to heal and decompress.

I think that part of the problem is that I have not been doing my ab/core work. Always short on time it’s one of the first things that gets cut. I started the year strong doing push ups and curl ups everyday in addition to everything else but somehow that went away

I have to consider switching up my schedule because I always run short of time on Mondays and squat days usually require more time because of my extensive warm up.
Much improved from last week though. Able to brace better and keep the bar in line.

squat 315, 340,365, 315 x 5

You're absolutely right about squats and time, we used to do them on Sat mornings at Tampa Barbell for that very reason other things could be abbreviated during weeknights but squats are a whole different animal

Right on man !!!

A strong man can deadlift heavy but it takes a true beast to squat heavy. Nice work man !
