Shakers

Shakers were awesome back in the day if you were out and didn't have access to a blender. Their quality was never great but now they just suck.
Today, I use premixed protein and the rest of my supps are swallowed with a bottle of water.

I go to the dollar store and buy a box of mason jars. A box of eight cost about 7$.

2 reasons. 1)They are glass and they clean better. 2) I always forget to wash the damn things and often they get thrown out.

I have Blender Bottles from the mid 2000's. I have tried the 'newer version' and they eventually leak. Make sure to get the Classic Blender Bottle!

Yea the newer shakers are crap. They break easy too. It's ridiculous. The older ones that I and everybody here mentioned last forever.

Was there a reason on why they changed?

When I clean mine, I leave them in hot soapy bleach water. The old ones did well in the dishwasher too....but maybe that's why the newer ones go bad more quickly.

It wouldn't be so bad if they were still cheap, as buying new ones a few times a year was still a deal.

Blender bottle is the one I’ve been using too but I am also looking for something better. But it’s so hard to find a better option as everything is so expensive out there. These are just shakers, why do they have to be so expensive?

Bonus points for being stainless and not getting funky if you forget to rinse it one time.

I bought this one for 4 bucks at the dollar general. The lid is actually threaded and you can "close" it. It doesn't seem to leak.
