And don't forget about deloads and time off. I know I am really guilty of not doing it correctly. Go to the gym and deload? Ridiculous! LOL Time off? Well if I am not going to the gym I might as well just eat what I want

I mix up my training quite often... If i don't I'll get bored. Lately I have been doing a lot of super-sets or tri-sets with very little rest in between... I try to fail around 12 reps or so per exercise. From a cardiovascular and muscle pump standpoint, this type of workout is grueling. It obviously won't pile the mass on you like a traditional 6 - 8 rep straight sets, but it's a fun way to lift. My lifting sessions are no more than 1 hour long, which includes minor stretching and warmup.

Still today, I never take time off or do any kind of deload unless I am too sick or hurt to walk into a gym. When I competed in powerlifting, I never did it either. The best results I got were going up 5-10lbs ever week and never taking time off. Eat good, rest good and train hard.

I vary my sets n reps on main movers depending on if its max or dynamic , triples to singles for heavy days and 8x2 , 7x3 for dynamic work what ever feels good that day on the hips n back , If i can get more I'll hit it.

I do a lot of my main accessories in 5x5 , get to my working weight in doubles or triples then hit the 5x5 with at least 70/80% of 1rm with it then move up 5lbs or repeat it if I fail next session

Secondary and other stuff I just hit for 3 or 4 sets of amrap with as much as I can manage to sets of 8 , or like single joint work I'll use the bands I have , then move up

Probably not the smartest or the best but it works good for me.
